dear reader,
my whole life, i've been chasing down a train to the dreamland in my head, and i somehow always feel the gust of wind in my face as it shoots off into my imagination. in less performative words, i've always been trying to achieve a life, or lifestyle, that i don't have and can never seem to achieve. well guess what, me? (*"what is it, me?"*, says little me) that's about to change!
for lack of better words, i've recently started to larp, larp, and larp some more until i truly become who i want to be. fake it till you make it, am i right?
so here's a little list of things and hobbies i've been doing lately, or want to start doing soon:
- baking -- i've always loved baking, but i've been baking a whole bunch recently! some notable mentions are my chocolate chip cookies, cinnamon roll bites (which turned out quite disappointing), and brown butter chocolate chipless cookies (which, in turn, were absolutely delicious). since those awesome cookies, i tried to make oreo cookie crumble cookies and some more chocolate chip cookies, but they both became one mega cookie on the pan. the culprit: fake butter, AKA vegetable oil spread. #what?!?!? next on my grocery list (or my mom and i's text thread): BUTTER!!!
- yoga -- as you may have guessed, this is one of the things i haven't done. shocker! one night last week, it was around 2am, like it is now as i'm writing this, and i saw a tiktok of a girl doing yoga in her backyard with a teal hollister racerback tank and hot pink brandy priscilla pants. what was so significant about this, you may ask? well thanks for asking! 1. she was serving absolute 2000s athletic baddie and i've been feeling very chuddy lately, and 2. i have that exact outfit!!! clearly, this discovery was revolutionary for me. i immediately got up out of bed and put on that outfit. was that necessary? certainly not. was it fun and cutesy? 100% yes, and that's reason enough for me to do anything. so there i was, on my wooden floor with no mat in my wonderfully cutesy workout outfit, attempting to do yoga with no tutorial. i lasted maybe 3 minutes before i moved onto a basic 1-minute plank. basic. basic, my juicy couture-covered butt! i was trembling like a terrified baby deer 10 seconds into it. i do not like planks. however, yoga was quite fun. i think if i get into it consistently, it could be something i enjoy!
- vlogging -- in addition to my newfound hobby of blogging, i really want to start vlogging! i'm thinking of this in two ways. first, on my new KODAK PIXPRO FZ55!!! (can you tell i'm excited about it?) i've taken one video on it, outside when my sister was scootering, and i'm obsessed with the nostalgic feel it gives the recording. therefore, i'm gonna start taking my camera everywhere i go, and if i think a moment is cute or aesthetically pleasing, i'll hit record! my second form of vlogging that i want to take on is more casual: macbook photobooth videos, uploaded onto a private youtube. love! these vlogs would consist of me sitting alone in my room, dark with the exception of my salt lamp in the corner warming up the space, and the best part: i yap! i ramble on about whatever is on my mind, or whatever happened that day. i then post it onto youtube, unedited, for no one but me to see. you might be wondering, why post it on youtube if no one will see it? well, for starters, i love the aesthetic of a youtube video with no cuts and a blatant, stupid title. second, it's a great way for me to have all these super long vlogs of me talking without ruining my wee little macbook's storage. so yeah. youtube, here i come!
it's 2:30am, i'm listening to audrey hobert, and i'm extremely tired from how much i loved writing this! i can already tell this is something i'll adore. if anyone's reading, thank you, and i'll see you in the next one!
you know you love me
